This position will be responsible for providing support for two enterprise-scale web-based applications. The person will be monitoring application logs, troubleshooting when the application crashes etc. Also, will do data analysis. This position will review and resolve problem files and data discrepancies and be able to validate data output. This will require the person to learn the business use of the application and utilize SQL and other tools to create reports and analyze data interactions. Will work within a small team and will communicate findings/resolutions to the vendor, other system professionals and business users.
Conduct daily monitoring and maintenance activities. Ensure integrity and availability of data by performing critical time-sensitive problem resolution of data discrepancies and validate data output and data flows to all applicable systems or any other department or functional area. Triage and report to vendor support any failures.
Collaborating cross-functionally to make effective business decisions; solving complex problems; escalating high priority issues or risks, as appropriate; and recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
Ensure adequacy and quality of process and procedure documentation. Assist users by enhancing their understanding of application and database content, relationships, and structures. Maintain system and user documentation
Performs testing and validation routines essential to application development and enhancement. Document test expectations and outcomes at a level of detail that allows research and analysis. Work with tester for the development of comprehensive test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs
Troubleshoot, and resolve any reported problems. Provide vendor support on all issues. Fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and cause analysis. Provide application performance tuning recommendations, Enable best practices
Monitor, update, and maintain existing legacy environment software systems interfaces to ensure that the interfaces exchange data properly and to support the current legacy environment
There will be required data entry of contact information, amounting to 2-4 hours a week.
