•Lead requirement and analysis sessions across different projects & key data initiatives
•Define data analysis strategy and create required data analysis components
•Assess objectives, use cases, data requirements and specifications documents created by other analysts
•Analyze and resolve major data issues that arise during the course of projects
Must have skills:
•Define conceptual and logical data models to capture organizational data needs across multiple subject areas
•Create physical design from logical data models for new and existing systems
•Research to identify effective data designs, new tools and methodologies for data analysis
•Act as reviewer and facilitator in data model reviews
•Lead in definition of data architecture of systems that support business processes
•Support enterprise metadata and data governance requirements
•Strong experience in data modeling and able to create conceptual, logical and physical data models
•Strong development experience in Informatica Power Center & Power Exchange is must. Candidate should be Skilled in a various Informatica ETL solution
•Provide guidance and expertise to development team in effective implementation of data models and building better data access services
•Promote and follow enterprise data modeling standards and best practices for data lake
•Collaborate with DBAs, architects, subject area owners to create scalable and flexible data models
•Identify opportunities to leverage enterprise data model for new projects to minimize work and data redundancy
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with speed to delivery.
Skills and Knowledge
•Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
•Advanced understanding of the database development process including analysis, design, coding, testing, problem resolution and planning, and full competency in all relevant coding environments, languages, tools, and platforms
•Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical associates in the company
•Strong ability to work across project teams and develop positive working relationships with peers and senior management
•Experience with advanced stored procedures, PL SQL and MySQL
•Experience with IBM Mainframes, COBOL, JCL, DB2 is required
•Experience with Informatica design and development process
Tools and Database
• Experience with data modeling activities, using industry standard tools, preferable Erwin
• Experience in Big data technologies like DB2 BLU and other platforms is desired
• Experience with IBM Mainframes, COBOL, JCL, DB2 is desired
• Experience on using Agile project development and reporting like JIRA or TFS is must.
Education and Experience
•Bachelor's degree in computer & information systems or related field, Master’s degree preferred
•8+ years’ experience with data design, analysis and development. Development experience weighted towards PL/SQL and ETL tools (Informatica preferably)
•Demonstrated experience in all of the following: DB2 BLU 10.5 and above, PL/SQL, data warehouses, data modeling and data profiling. Experience with PowerDesigner required
•Solid experience in conceptual, logical and physical data modeling.
•Experience working in Agile project environment is must.
