Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of nearly 70,000 children and adults worldwide, and is the nation’s #1 life threatening genetic disease.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is the world’s leader in the search for a cure. CFF focuses on supporting the development of new drugs to fight the disease, improving the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately finding a cure.
Each year, participants all over the country race to the top of a tall building or stadium in their area at the CF StairClimb, raising much needed funds for cystic fibrosis.
The Washington Chapter of the CFF hosted their 25th Annual StairClimb this year, attracting more than 450 participants and raising over $127,500 – making them that much closer to providing life-changing results for all CF patients.
Xtreme was a proud sponsor for the CF StairClimb for the first time this year. The sponsorship allowed us to learn more as a company about the disease, and also gave our employees the opportunity to get involved. Twenty Xtreme employees participated in the StairClimb – 3 employees even won medals for finishing at the top of their age division!
Throughout the year, we had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jaclynn Simpson, Director of Development for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
