For more than four decades, Hopelink has helped homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities make lasting change in their lives. Hopelink believes that everyone deserves a chance and that connected neighbors create healthy communities. Here at Xtreme, we are proud to be one of Hopelink’s connected neighbors.
During the entire month of March, Xtreme competed in Hopelink’s Can Madness tournament. Modeled after the NCAA Basketball tournament, local companies were paired up in a bracket and competed each week in a single-elimination food drive competition. With determination, teamwork and some Xtreme competitive spirit, Xtreme Consulting Group was crowned champions of Can Madness 2015 and we could not be happier! All of our fundraising and volunteering efforts have made for an awesome and rewarding experience.
Over the five week tournament, Xtreme donated over 21,000 pounds of food the Kirkland Food Bank. That’s over 16,000 meals for those in need!
Xtreme also went above and beyond the donation duties by volunteering at the Kirkland Food Bank twice during the Can Madness tournament. More than twenty Xtreme employees took time out of their work schedules to help sort over 11,000 pounds of food! It was an eye-opening experience to see the impacts our donations made for our local food bank.
Participating in Hopelink’s Can Madness allowed us to actively support our local food bank while also strengthening our team bond. CEO Greg Rankich noted, “I am proud of a lot of things we have accomplished, but deep down, I am most proud of the positive impact this company has on the community.”
We look forward to a continued partnership with Hopelink and all the wonderful fundraisers and events they organize.
