Early in 2014, Seattle Business magazine accepted nominations for its first ever Community Impact Awards, honoring Washington state businesses and organizations that are making a tangible, measurable impact on their communities.
A panel of judges deliberated more than 130 entries and picked finalists in eight categories, including Nonprofit of the Year, Pro Bono Services, and Business of the Year.
Xtreme was honored to receive the Silver Award for Business of the Year for Midsize Companies, showing our overall impact on the communities around us. Other midsize companies that were recognized include PCC Natural Markets and Sellen Construction.
Nick Horton of Seattle Business Magazine opened the dinner and awards ceremony by stating, “To say the inaugural class is impressive is like saying the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl triumph was pedestrian. This first group creates an impressive template that assures a stellar selection of impactful businesses and organizations in the years to come.”
Xtreme’s accolades at the event included donating more than $375,000 to over 30 nonprofit organizations in 2013, participating in over 20 fundraising events across the country, and the launch of the Xtreme Cares volunteer program, which supports employee volunteers in various ways.
